It can occur suddenly with a clear and documented history or it may occur insidiously with less defined or obvious causes. Often, the cause of injury is to be found in areas of the body distant from the point of pain. For this reason injury needs to be viewed and treated as part of a complex pattern of movement and balance from head to foot and through 360°
Assessment of balance both in terms of strength and length of muscles is vitally important in understanding why pain and injury occur. With this understanding, client specific, home exercises can then be planned to help restore balance, relieve muscle and joint pain and improve function.

Electrotherapy modalities, including ultrasound and deep tissue oscillation, are employed to speed healing at the site of injury.
