Before your appointment, please:

• Eat and drink as normal.

• Take your usual medication unless told otherwise.

• Let us know if your medication or medical history has changed since your assessment.

• Tell us if you take blood thinners or have any allergies.

• Please advise us if you have recently had, or are due to have, any other medical or dental procedures.

• Remove any nail varnish from the toe.

• Wear comfortable clothing and bring flip-flops, sandals or other loose-fitting footwear to accommodate the large dressing applied after the procedure.

• Arrange for somebody to drive you to and from the clinic if possible.

• Plan to rest with your foot up for the rest of the day after the procedure.

• Have some simple pain relief such as paracetamol available at home if needed afterwards.
